The First National Operation and Maintenance Company “NOMAC” was founded in 2005 and firmly established in the GCC, North Africa and South, Middle Europe and East Europe regions, providing high-quality O&M (Operation & Maintenance) services for power production and water desalination projects, regionally and worldwide. In total, NOMAC is responsible for the operation of a portfolio of 26,010 MW of power generation and 2.83 million cubic meters per day of desalinated water production.
NOMAC currently has full operational responsibility for 19 major projects, regionally and worldwide, operating a Concentrated Solar Power project in South Africa, a Photovoltaic (PV) System in Bulgaria, and other successful ongoing projects in Turkey, Mozambique, Morocco and Oman. NOMAC is also responsible for the O&M of some of the largest plants ever built in the world, including the largest MSF plant, and the largest combined-cycle project.
NOMAC is committed to providing a safe work environment for all employees and contractors, to protect their health and ensure their safety. To support this ethos NOMAC selected Engica to provide them with a digital control of work system for use at 23 sites across all of their operational regions. They aimed to design and implement the Q4 software to support NOMAC’s specific requirements integrating with SAP to provide a seamless Control of Work system.
Engica’s team have recently completed the last of the rollouts, providing extensive training, guidance and support to all new users. The take-on of the system has been rapid, with users very quickly recognising the benefits of the system.
As a result of the implementation of the Q4 Control of Work System NOMAC’s objectives were met, providing their business with a safe and robust system which supports and strengthens their commitment.
